Light of Day

by Danilo Stern-Sapad

A song about finding hope and light in darkness.

Lyrics

I woke up to a quiet house, memories on the floor, The scent of you still lingers, though you’re not here anymore. I found an old photograph, we were young and free, But now those days are just shadows, haunting me.

And though the years have gone, the heartache still remains, I close my eyes, and I’m with you, feeling all the pain.

Now I walk alone, trying to find my way, Through the dark of night, I look for the light of day. I’ll keep moving forward, though the road is long, In the end, I’ll find the place where I belong.

I remember the day you left, a tear fell from your eye, We promised we’d stay strong, but we never said goodbye. Now I’m walking this lonely road, watching the world go by, Hoping for the strength to finally say goodbye.

Through the autumn leaves, your memory softly calls, In the rustling winds, as the evening falls. I’ll walk this path of healing, with hope as my guide, And find what’s waiting on the other side.

Now I walk alone, trying to find my way, Through the dark of night, I look for the light of day. I’ll keep moving forward, though the road is long, In the end, I’ll find the place where I belong.

Though your memory breaks my soul, I’ll find a way to make it whole. Every night, I leave parts of you behind, And in their place, a new day I’ll find.

About: Loss, the struggle to find closure, and the journey towards healing and self-discovery.
