Romeo & Juliet

by Danilo Stern-Sapad

A symphonic metal retelling of Shakespeare's tragic love story.

Lyrics

In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, Two star-crossed lovers, young and keen. A feud as old as time, their hearts defy, A love so pure, beneath the sky.

From rival houses, Montague and Capulet, Their passion burns, their fate is set. A masked ball where first they meet, A stolen kiss, their hearts complete.

Beneath the moonlit balcony, he whispers soft and low, “Juliet, my dearest love, together we shall go.” But danger lurks, a cruel twist of fate, Their love, a tempest, can’t abate.

A fight ensues, blood is spilled, Mercutio falls, a heart stilled. Romeo’s vengeance, Tybalt’s end, Exile looms, a love to mend.

A potion’s draught, a sleeping death, Juliet’s plan, a whispered breath. A message lost, Romeo’s despair, A crypt awaits, a love laid bare.

In the tomb, with tears he cries, Romeo drinks, and gently dies. Juliet wakes, her love now gone, A dagger’s kiss, their final song.

Their lives cut short, their dreams denied, A tragic end where hope has died. The feud’s dark grip, a senseless strife, That claimed two young and vibrant lives.

About: The story of a family feud that tragically claimed the lives of two young souls.
