About: A song I wrote based on the first chapter of the first book of a space opera I’m writing called “Ariadoss and the Advent of Darkness”.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1 - The Advent of Darkness] In Ariadoss’ home of mountains high, Where snow did fall and peaks did lie, A peaceful life, a family dear, Did dwell in love, and not in fear. But in forbidden space did loom, A Brotherhood with hearts of doom, Their purpose dark, their hearts aflame, They came to conquer, not to tame.

[Verse 2 - The Brothers’ Bond] Within the courtyard, white with snow, Two brothers played, their laughter flowed. Ariadoss, of age but ten, And Alder, six, the younger kin. With snowballs thrown and laughter shared, Their hearts were light, their spirits fared, But fate, unkind, would turn its hand, As doom approached their mountain land.

[Verse 3 - The Storm Descends] The parents watched, their love entwined, Unknowing of the threat behind. A ship approached, a shadow cast, A moment’s peace, now torn and past. Their mother screamed, a warning call, As death rained down, and fire did fall. In grief and shock, the brothers thrown, Their world now shattered, lives unknown.

[Verse 4 - The Battle’s Toll] As chaos reigned and darkness spread, The servants fought, their courage bled. The spacemarines, in armor strong, Did strike them down, their end prolonged. The brothers’ home, in flames and ash, Their family gone, in one cruel lash. Alder, with power yet untamed, Fought back against the foe unnamed.

[Verse 5 - The Darkness Lingers] Ariadoss, in fear and dread, Could only watch as havoc spread. His brother’s cries, a haunting sound, As spacemarines did swarm around. A moment’s respite, as he hid, A tear-streaked face, a trembling kid. But darkness loomed, and time did pass, The memory a shadow cast.

[Verse 6 - A Power Unleashed] Years gone by, the brothers grown, Their fates now changed, their paths unknown. Ariadoss, with power grand, In meditation, did understand. His aura swirling, red and gray, A tear upon his cheek did lay. The past still haunted, memories pained, But hope and strength would still remain.
