You broke my heart in June,
Right when the world was warm and full of light.
You said we’d meet up soon,
But I knew that was our final night.
The street was quiet, the sky was clear,
But nothing’s louder than a falling tear.

July was full of noise,
Laughed with strangers, but I missed your voice.
I tried to smile through August sun,
But every shadow said you were the one.
September came with colder air,
But I still looked for you everywhere.

You broke my heart in June,
Left me dancing in an empty room.
Time don’t heal, it just moves on,
And every right still feels so wrong.
But I keep walking through these days,
Even if I’ve lost my way.

October passed in shades of grey,
I wore your sweater just to feel okay.
November’s rain was soft and slow,
Like it knew what I refused to show.

It was a cold and dark December,
So much colder than I remember.
I saw your face in the frozen glass,
Whispered your name, let the moment pass.

You broke my heart in June,
And the year just kept replaying your tune.
But the snow began to melt in March,
And I stopped staring at the scars.

Now April sings a softer song,
And May reminds me life goes on.
You broke my heart in June, that’s true…
But somehow, I made it through.
